You’ll have many opportunities to share your opinions with us. Community activities include monthly surveys and home-use tests, weekly polls and contests, focus groups, and periodic online discussions.
We value your opinions and know that your time is valuable. Whenever you take survey or poll or participate in an online discussion or event, you will be rewarded with points that can be redeemed for Good Cook products.
Questionnaires that you answer online.
We may ask you what you think of a new product that we are developing, how you feel about the kitchen gadgets and tools you currently own and use, or how you use certain gadgets and tools. Surveys typically have 15 to 20 questions and take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete. You are invited to participate in a survey via email; some surveys may only be open to select Community members. You earn 25 points for taking a survey.
Short online surveys with 1 to 2 multiple choice questions that take less than 5 minutes to complete.
We may ask you which color or design option you prefer, how much you would pay for a particular new product, or what your favorite kitchen gadget or tool is. We post a new Quick Survey every week. Quick Surveys are posted on your Dashboard. You earn 5 points for taking a Quick Survey.
Topics are online conversations that may be initiated by the Community moderator or by a Community member.
Community members comment on the Topics and on comments made by other members. Topics are posted on your Dashboard. You earn 1 point for every comment you make (limit 25 comments per month). You earn 5 points for creating a new Topic (limit 1 per month). The points you earn from commenting on a Topic or creating a new Topic are added to your account at the end of every month. Topics are posted on your Dashboard.
Product use tests conducted in home.
Every couple of months, we select 50 panel members to test 5 to 10 products for a couple of weeks in the real world environment of their own homes. Testers take two online surveys, one at the beginning of the test and one at the end. You don't earn any points for a home-use test. Instead, you get to keep the test products. You are invited to participate in a home-use test via email.
Online live chat sessions where Community members interact with each other and a moderator online.
Participants brainstorm, generate and share ideas, and discuss a variety of topics. Online live focus groups are conducted periodically. You earn 10 points for participating in an online live focus group. Online focus groups are posted on your Dashboard.
In-person group discussions where Community members interact face-to-face with each other and a moderator.
Participants brainstorm, generate and share ideas, and discuss a variety of topics. In some cases, participants actually use the products under discussion as well as talk about them. Focus groups are conducted twice a year in our offices or a focus group facility. You don't earn any points for an in-person focus group. Instead, you receive a cash incentive to cover your time and travel expenses. You are invited to participate in a focus group via email.
